Apple MacOS 13 Ventura built-in preview application no longer supports PostScript (. ps/. eps) files

According to a new Apple support file,starting from macOS 13 Ventura, the built-in preview application on Mac no longer supports PostScript (. ps) and Encapsulated PostScript (. eps) files. On macOS 13 Monterey and earlier versions, the built-in preview application can still be used to open these files. Apple did not provide the reason for this change.

Apple recommends using other third-party Mac applications that can view or convert PostScript files. Apple said that on the macOS 13 Ventura, the following steps will be followed Ps and The eps file can still be printed by dragging it into the Mac printer queue.

Select Apple Menu> System Settings, and then click Printers and Scanners on the sidebar.

Click the printer name on the right.

Click the Printer Queue button to open the Printer Queue window.
