On November 10, it was reported that Vivo held a "communication meeting on dual core x imaging technology". During the meeting, the in-depth cooperation between vivo and MediaTek, the new generation of vivo self-developed chips and other new technologies were introduced around image and performance, showing the latest achievements of vivo in independent research and development and open cooperation.

It is reported that the self-developed chip V2 has brought about a comprehensive improvement in compatibility and functionality, and greatly upgraded the on-chip memory unit, AI computing unit and image processing unit. Put forward FIT dual core interconnection technology, establish a new high-speed communication mechanism between self-developed chip V2 and Tianji 9200 flagship platform, enable two chips with completely different architectures and instruction sets to complete dual core interconnection synchronization in 1/100 second, and achieve optimal coordination and high-speed collaboration of data and computing.

Thanks to the near memory DLA (vivo self-developed AI deep learning accelerator) module and the large capacity dedicated on-chip SRAM (high-speed and low-power cache unit), the self-developed chip V2 rematched the computing power capacity, computing power density and data density, greatly improving the capacity and computing speed of the on-chip cache. Compared with the DDR external memory design commonly used by NPUs, the SRAM data throughput power consumption theory can be reduced by 99.2% at most, and the energy efficiency ratio can be improved by 200% compared with traditional NPUs.

At this communication meeting, Vivo brought advanced self-developed image algorithms such as telephoto image, motion capture and dark light capture, and pushed the Vivo mobile image technology to a new height with the help of self-developed chip V2 solidification algorithm capability and new HDR, NR and ProMEMC.

The "ultra clear image quality engine" with the optical super division algorithm as the core can recover about 35% of the definition information of more than 5 times of the focal length; Ultra Zoom EIS technology integrates IMU, OIS and EIS modules, effectively cancels jitter during high zoom shooting, and ensures stability of preview images.

In order to solve the problem of shutter delay and shorten the gap between mobile phone photography and professional cameras, vivo has developed "zero delay" capture and a new generation of motion detection algorithms. By optimizing the image processing process, the sensor startup speed is improved, and the shutter delay time is reduced to 30ms.

In addition, in order to meet the full scene image needs of professional users, vivo also realizes the dark light capture function through algorithm superposition and full link optimization of photography, greatly improving the sensor's light sensitivity in dark scenes; Through the multi frame fusion technology and the self-developed RawEnhance 2.0 algorithm, the moving picture is superimposed and the smear is eliminated.
