Huawei's high market share in Berlin is frightening! Much higher than domestic

This survey involves 102 mobile network operators in 31 European countries, aiming to understand the share of Chinese and non Chinese suppliers in their 5G networks. The survey results show that in 8 of the 31 countries, more than 50% of the 5G wireless access network equipment comes from Chinese manufacturers. In one country, 100% of the 5G wireless access network equipment comes from Chinese manufacturers. In general, 41% of mobile users in Europe have access to 5G devices from Chinese suppliers. In 2020, 51% of European mobile subscribers will access 4G equipment from Chinese manufacturers.

The report points out that Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Austria and Spain have purchased a large number of 5G equipment from Chinese suppliers. Among them, Huawei accounts for 59% of German 5G wireless access network equipment, higher than 4G (57%). The report also points out that Huawei's market share in Berlin is higher than that in Beijing, and the company faces competition with domestic rival ZTE in Beijing.

However, some telecom operators no longer use equipment from Chinese suppliers. Der Spiegel said that many Nordic and Eastern European countries, especially Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Slovakia, hardly use 5G equipment from Chinese suppliers.
