According to the announcement of China Patent Network,Glory is applying for "an electronic device that integrates and multiplexes the Beidou short message function". The authorization announcement number is CN213586302U. From the literal meaning of the patent, it is not difficult to see that the patent is a satellite communication technology developed with honor. At present, I don't know which model this technology will be applied to first.
However, from the current product planning of Glory,this technology is likely to launchon the upcoming Magic5 series of Glory. From the current news, the Glory Magic5 series will appear at the 2023MWC conference. This series of models will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 mobile platform. The screen will use the latest technology screen of BOE. The rear image will adopt the scheme of multiple main cameras+new big bottom, and will be supported by the new photography and computing technology. In addition, it is reported that the Glory Magic5 series will also be equipped with microcrystalline glass, which is of the same hardness as Kunlun glass.
Although the satellite communication function is basically not used in daily life, it can work wonders and even save lives under some special circumstances.
