Recently, Ziguang Zhanrui, a well-known domestic mobile phone chip manufacturer, announced that it had successfully completed the world's first S-band 5G NTN technology breakthrough in cooperation with China Telecom Satellite, ZTE, China Academy of Information Technology and other institutions, and verified the feasibility of direct connection of mobile phones to satellites.

According to the official introduction, this verification is another important achievement in the field of space-space integration technology after the world's first R17 NTN satellite test was completed by Purple Light Exhibition Sharp through the L-band in June 2022. It is reported that the test terminal used in this technology verification on the satellite is based on the R 17 NTN chip of Purple Light Zhanrui. Through the S-band, it is connected to the Tiantong 1 satellite independently developed by China, as well as the gateway station, 5G NTN base station, and the ground core network, so as to realize the interconnection with the ground network. At the same time, the communication process of broadcasting, access, data transmission and so on has been completed to realize multi-terminal access and multi-terminal interworking, and the performance meets the expectations.

Ziguang Zhanrui also said that as early as 2018, they had actively invested in the research and application practice of space-space integration technology, and made key breakthroughs in standard formulation, technical research, application verification and other aspects. From the completion of the world's first L-band R17 NTN on-satellite measurement, the success of this S-band technology on-satellite verification again shows that UV Sharp has accurately grasped the direction of cutting-edge technology.

It is worth mentioning that at present, the development of Purple Light Zhanrui in the field of mobile phone processor is also very encouraging. Not long ago, the T820 processor under Unisplendor also won the China Semiconductor Innovation and Technology Award, and the number of manufacturers adopting Unisplendor processors is also increasing steadily. At the end of January, ZTE also released a Blade V40 mobile phone equipped with Purple Light Sharp T616 processor.
