The market for wireless earphones is very good because the earphone holes on mobile phones are no longer available, making it very convenient to choose wireless earphones. Among them, the AirPods series is the choice of many friends. Although it is expensive, it is still worth the price in terms of functions, noise reduction and sound quality are the most important manifestations. According to the latest news, Apple will add hearing health functions to AirPods within one or two years.

On March 12th, according to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple may add hearing health features to its AirPods wireless headphones within the next year or two.

In his latest Power On newsletter, Gurman stated that he believes Apple will "upgrade AirPods into a health tool within the next year or two" and "increase the ability to obtain certain hearing data.

Apple has added some listening focused features to AirPods in recent years, such as Live Listen and Conversation Boost. However, Gulman pointed out that these features have not yet been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are not designed to replace hearing aids. Considering Apple's health goals, he expects AirPods to undertake such functions "more formally" in the near future.

Apple analyst Guo Minghui has previously emphasized that the company plans to add biometric health monitoring functionality to future AirPods. An Apple patent describes a headphone based fitness monitoring system that integrates an advanced biometric sensor that can detect physiological indicators such as body temperature, heart rate, and sweating levels through skin contact and built-in motion sensors. Kevin Lynch, Apple's vice president of technology, also hinted that AirPods may become a source of additional health data in the future.

The new hearing health features do not necessarily rely on future new AirPods, as existing models already include speakers and microphones required to support these features, which can be pushed to existing devices through firmware updates.

The AirPods Pro series has already had a very awesome "hearing aid" effect in the transparent mode, real-time listening and other functions, and needs to be improved in the history of earphones. The news that Apple will add hearing health functions to AirPods in a year or two has made many small partners look forward to it.
