Not long ago, Qualcomm announced that it would transfer Snapdragon 8-series iterative products from Samsung to TSMC. Recently, Xiaobian received news that Qualcomm would also transfer 7-series iterative chips to TSMC. Qualcomm has transferred the main 7-series and 8-series chips to TSMC foundry. Is Samsung foundry no good? Now let's get to know.

Snapdragon 7 series iteration will turn the table to the SMT process, and Samsung process will lose its market!

Recently, microblog blogger @ digital chat station revealed that "there are few follow-up models of Snapdragon 780G and Snapdragon 7  Gen  1 chip with Samsung technology, andthe new Snapdragon 7 series iteration is about to turn to the storage technology." It is expected thatQualcomm will release Snapdragon 7+  in the future; Gen  1 and Snapdragon 7; Gen  Class 2 iterative chips.

Some people believe that the main reason for not using a large number of terminals is that Samsung has low yield, low production capacity, and insufficient power consumption control.

By contrast, taking Snapdragon 8 and Snapdragon 8+as examples, the former is Samsung OEM, and the latter is TSMC OEM. The CPU power consumption of Snapdragon 8+is about 30% lower than that of Snapdragon 8, and the overall power consumption of the platform is about 15% lower than that of Snapdragon 8. This shows that TSMC technology is more mature and its power consumption control is better.

All of Qualcomm's new chips have been produced by TSMC, which shows that Samsung's technology is really on the decline. It seems that in the future, high-end chips on the market will be produced by TSMC. We hope TSMC can continue to innovate and seize this opportunity to develop vigorously.
