Kirin 9000SL has been very popular recently. This is the second new Kirin chip launched by Huawei after Kirin 9000S.As can be seen from the name, Kirin 9000SL and Kirin 9000S are inextricably related, and can basically be regarded as a down-clocked version of Kirin 9000S.So what is the difference between Kirin 9000SL and Kirin 9000S?

Kirin 9000SL can be regarded as a down-clocked version of Kirin 9000S, with performance worse by more than 20%

Kirin 9000SL uses a design of 1 x 2.35GHz large core + 2 x 2.15GHz medium core + 3 x 1.53GHz small core. Compared with Kirin 9000S, there are some obvious differences. Both Kirin 9000SL and Kirin 9000S use the self-developed Taishan architecture. The mid-core frequency is 2.15GHz, the mid-core adopts the A510 architecture, and the GPU is the 750MHz Ma Liang 910.But the difference is that the Kirin 9000SL's large core frequency has dropped to 2.35GHz, the number of medium cores has been reduced from three to two, and the number of small cores has been reduced from four to three, all at 1.53GHz.The Kirin 9000S has an 8-core and 12-thread configuration, while the Kirin 9000SL has a 6-core and 9-thread configuration.

In general, although the two have the same origin, there is still a clear gap in performance. This can also be seen from the AnTuTu benchmark. The performance of the Kirin 9000SL dropped by about 20% compared to the Kirin 9000S.
